Innovations for Digital Infrastructure (“I4DI”) is a non-profit association operating in the area of supercomputing, Big Data, artificial intelligence and scientific research, established with an overall aim to support, create and improve innovation and cooperation among industry leaders.
I4DI’s vision is to fundamentally help tackle global challenges of data centers in upcoming years and decades through innovative projects such as the National Supercomputing Center (NSCC) or delivering one of the fastest supercomputers in the world. The key goals I4DI set out to achieve are:
I4DI’s aim is to serve both as a creator and an enabler of innovations and collaborations in areas of supercomputing, Big Data and Al on both national and international level. The key activities required in order to achieve this are:
Participation in the creation of a legislative framework at the national and EU level;
Support and strategy creation of R&D in the areas of supercomputers, Big Data and Al in Slovakia and the EU;
Creating and supporting a suitable environment for the involvement of experts from the research, business and industrial areas to establish supercomputer center in Slovakia with a European significance;
Identification of cooperation opportunities among the members of the association and academia in the R&D field;
Promoting the exchange of information, establishing cooperation in sharing innovative ideas and know-how in the area of research and development;
Securing close cooperation among academia, business and industries;
Taking part in a wide range of activities initiated by the EU in the area of supercomputers, Big Data and Al;
